→ Though가 문장에 두 번 나와 잠시 혼란이 올 수 있지만 첫 번째 Though는 앞 문장과 반대되는 But(그러나, 하지만)과 같은 의미로 사용 되고 있으며, as though는 as if(마치 ~처럼)와 같은 뜻으로 쓰였다. 즉, 해석하자면, '하지만 그는 그 자신에 대해 더 자신이 있었고, 마치 세상을 정복할 수 있는 것처럼 느꼈다.'
